Specialty food, engaging activities, and plenty of exciting entertainment await you this spring at Walt Disney World. Here’s a breakdown of the festivities in store.

What the Festival Is All About

EPCOT’s International Flower & Garden Festival is held annually every spring and is included with EPCOT ticket admission. It typically runs from early March to early July, but this year, Disney is switching it up.

2024’s festival begins on February 28, two days earlier than the previous year’s event due to Leap Day, with the end date still to be announced.

The International Flower & Garden Festival delights its guests with captivating displays of gardens filled with one-of-a-kind exhibits and fun sculptures of everyone’s favorite Disney characters.

This festival makes for the perfect springtime Disney event for fanatics and foodies alike to come together and explore a world of enticing flavors and alluring garden displays under exceptional weather.

Expect to Find Lots Of…

Greenery! Guests may come to EPCOT for the food and drinks, but they stay for the outrageous garden displays. The International Flower & Garden festival features intricately cultivated topiaries of animated Disney characters, as well as plenty of global garden destinations.

2023 introduced new topiaries featuring characters like Mirabel, Antonio, Isabela, and Luisa from Encanto, as well as Tiana from The Princess and the Frog.

More than just displays of horticultural excellence, each topiary includes character-inspired details like flowers magically blooming from Isabela’s hands, an illuminated butterfly for Mirabel, and illuminated fireflies for Tiana.

As you travel through each pavilion and stop by every country, be sure to enjoy the green faces of all your Disney friends like Mickey and Minnie, Buzz Lightyear, Elsa and Anna, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Winnie the Pooh and friends, and so much more.

Outside of the characters, you can also enjoy flourishing flowerbeds and exotic gardens from Bold Bromeliads and the Bonsai Collection to China Zodiac Garden and Festival Blooms. Venture all around the world and find the most impressive botanical displays EPCOT has to offer.

Garden Rocks Concert Series

Get ready to rock your socks off at the festival’s Garden Rocks Concert Series. Extraordinary plant life aside, EPCOT’s International Flower & Garden Festival is a moment for Disney to recognize an array of musical artists — big and small.

The Garden Rocks Concert Series typically takes place daily at 5:30 p.m., 6:45 p.m., and 8 p.m., with performances from both internationally recognized artists and local Orlando bands.

The 2023 festival consisted of performances from artists like Smash Mouth, the Plain White T’s, the Pointer Sisters, Casting Crowns, and Vertical Horizon.

2024’s concert lineup is still in the works, but you can expect to hear plenty of great tunes worth rocking out to at this concert series.

Preparing for Your Visit

Whether you’re coming to EPCOT explicitly for the International Flower & Garden Festival or you’re simply a passholder making your rounds at all the Disney parks, you’ll definitely want to know what you’ll need for the ultimate park experience.

Make figuring out what to eat an easy feat with a Garden Rocks Dining Package, which ensures you an appetizer, entrée, and dessert or one full buffet/family-style meal and a nonalcoholic beverage from a participating restaurant.

You’re also guaranteed a seat to one Garden Rocks concert on the same day, so you don’t have to worry about missing out on your favorite artist for a bite to eat. Participating restaurants in 2023 included Biergarten Restaurant, Le Cellier Steakhouse, Spice Road Table, and more.

To make your festival experience even more seamless, you can grab the Festival Passport online in the Disney app. The passport is a small booklet that contains checklists for everything available at the International Flower & Garden Festival, from topiaries and gardens to places to dine.

There’s also a pay-to-play scavenger hunt available. You can purchase a map for $9.99 plus tax. Guests in 2023 ventured throughout EPCOT and played Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration to find Spike the bee. Those with a completed map could return it and receive a special prize.
