Safety & Security Tips
Your safety and the security of your personal property are of the utmost concern to those of us who welcome you as our guest. We urge you to take advantage of the following suggestions:
Electronic Safe
Do not leave money or valuables unattended in your room. We provide in-room electronic safes for your use. Keep your jewelry, passport, cash and valuables locked, even for a short while.
Double Locks and Safety Lock (Electronic Lock)
For additional security, when in room press the Green Privacy button located on the door lock. Do not press the Green Privacy button before departing room as it will prevent you from re-entry. Do not leave the door open while you are in the room. Ensure door is secured when leaving. Do not allow persons into your room without first making identification.
A peep hole is provided in your door for your convenience. If there is any doubt about the person’s true identity, please contact the Security Desk at extension 6000. For added protection, please utilize the night latch located on the back of the guestroom door.
“Room Occupied” Hanger Protocol
Hotel staff may enter a guestroom during your stay for wellness checks, security, maintenance, or other purposes. Rosen Hotels & Resorts reserves the right to visually inspect all guestrooms, even when the Room Occupied tag is displayed. Staff will knock and announce their presence before entering.
Walking/Driving
In Florida, drivers must YIELD, slow down or stop for a pedestrian crossing the road within a crosswalk, even when traffic control signals or yield signs are not present. If you fail to yield you could face fines and points on your license. Pedestrians are encouraged to use designated crosswalks. You should not cross the street until oncoming traffic has made a complete stop in both lanes.
Fire
Please familiarize yourself with the location of the nearest fire exit stairway. In the unlikely event of a fire, please move quickly but calmly to the stairs. Avoid the use of elevators. Report fire or smoke to the Hotel Operator by dialing 0.
Additional Information
Always park in well-lit areas, and remember to lock your car and remove any valuables. Carry traveler’s checks instead of large amounts of cash and do not carry all checks and money in one place. Avoid carrying purses and wallets loosely. If you see any suspicious person or activity, notify hotel security. If you see something, say something.
Pool Safety Tips
Please never leave a child alone or unsupervised in or near the pool, not even for a second. Do not use flotation devices as substitutes for supervision. Do not allow your child to swim immediately after eating a heavy meal. No glass or pets are allowed in the pool area. For your safety, do not swim while under the influence of alcohol or narcotic substances. Please be aware that Emergency phones are located at each pool.
During Peak Periods of Extreme Heat
Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water. Remember to wear sunscreen. Florida sunshine can be very intense, so always remember to apply plenty of sunscreen. We recommend SPF 30 or above.
Wear loose fitting, lightweight clothing and a hat. While in direct sunlight keep as much of your skin covered as possible.
