Orlando’s Best Disc Golf Locations

Man throwing frisbee into disc golf goal.

If you’ve never tried disc golf, now is the time! There are several great Orlando disc golf courses, each with its unique challenges and settings. Disc golf is essentially the same as golf, but instead of hitting a ball into a hole, you throw a weighted frisbee, also known as the disc, into a chain basket. It is much friendlier to beginners than golf and is a great activity for the whole family.

Here are some of the best courses you must visit on your Orlando getaway.

Bill Frederick Park

If you want variety, look no further than this beautiful park on Turkey Lake, which is home to three 18-hole courses: The Woods, The Turkeynator, and Turkey Lake. Beginners and experts alike will love these courses.

New to the game? Throw from the red or green tees to shorten each hole.

One of the most important aspects of a disc golf course is clearly marked holes. At Bill Frederick Park, each of the 54 holes has cement tees with hole layout pictures as well as numbered baskets.

Airport Lakes Park

At this scenic park, watch airplanes fly over the lake to land at the Orlando International Airport just half a mile away. The disc golf course here has nine holes, but each hole has two sets of tees and baskets, so you can play it as a normal 18-hole course. Escape the Florida sun and heat here since several of the holes are wooded.

This park boasts two full 18-hole courses. Both the north and south courses are fully playable and pose a fun test for disc golfers. Its famous 18th hole features a tee shot over a pond and onto a peninsula, where the basket sits under some trees. It is a well-maintained and beautiful course with woodsy areas, open spaces, and water holes.
